Bottom Line: Not cheap but worth the cost for an extremely well-made grinder that will last years. Perfect for the home roaster.

Extremely sturdy and well-made. Has stood the test of time. No cheap plastic parts to break or wear out. Many grind settings to suit expresso, drip or press. Easy to clean and inexpensive to replace burrs (though they last years with proper cleaning).

I had a couple of previous grinders but they didn't last and didn't have the grind settings of the KitchenAid. Until recently, I purchased only roasted whole beans and ground them. I now do my own home roasting and this grinder is perfect with all the available settings for expresso, press or drip coffee preparation. After several years, I decided to replace one of the burrs. I was impressed with KitchenAid's customer service answering my questions, taking my order, and shipping promptly. I use the grinder several times each week as I roast my beans and grind them before making my morning coffee. You can find cheaper, but the value is there in the long term.

As usual, Amazon is usually the least expensive vendor and ships promptly.
