Some grinders have ten grind settings, others have close to fifty. How many do you need? That depends entirely on what you plan to be doing with it. If all you want is basic brew methods like drip pots, pour overs, and a french press then a grinder with only a few settings may be right for you. However, if you plan on trying more complicated brewing methods like espresso you may regret settling for a grinder with less functionality. It is something to consider before making your purchase.
Burr Coffee Grinder Warranties
Not all grinders have a warranty, but most of the higher end ones do. You don’t absolutely need one and in all of my years working with conical burr grinders I have never had to return one, but I still prefer having a warranty. It is a significant quality signal from the company, in my opinion, and shows that they have faith in their product.
