Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder, Hario Mini Mill Slim MSS-1
Bottom Line:
Waste of money, look elsewhere. This grinder would not be worth buying if it were $5.00.
-None that I can think of. Overshadowed by all negative points. maybe... it weighs more than a whirlyblade grinder?
Noisy. VERY. Unacceptable amounts of dust on any setting. Inconsistent grind level. No bean rebound catcher in the bean hopper. Last several beans continue to jump around the hopper for multiple seconds. CRAZY amounts of static in the grounds. Plastic receptacle, feels and looks cheap. Unacceptable retention of very fine dust in the grind chamber and delivery chute. Slow - 20g of coffee takes >30 seconds, with the last few beans jumping around the hopper. Horrible value.
Need I say more? This grinder is a complete waste of money - if you're looking for a good or even acceptable coffee grinder, this is NOT it - stick with a whirlyblade. A whirlyblade grinder is cheaper and you get equivalent grind consistency - YES it's THAT bad. At least the whirlyblade doesn't retain dust. I daresay the whirlyblade is quieter, too.
I will hand grind my coffee with my UNMODIFIED Hario Mini Mill Slim for lbs and lbs before I use this on a consistent basis. I bought a Bodum Bistro Burr Grinder for $75 that is HEAD AND SHOULDERS above this piece of crap.
Horrible. Terrible.
No hassle, used Meijer santa bucks to get $15 off of the purchase price.
