The Deepstacks Poker Tour and the Western New York Poker Championship will play out from February 14 through 19 at the actionpacked Seneca Niagara, in Niagara Falls, NY. Hosted by Seneca Gaming and Entertainment this series promises to be a big winner as part of the Deepstacks Poker Tour, and will be the first ever televised event in Western New York.
After Seneca Allegheny had to turn people away because of its popularity on New Year’s Eve, poker room boss John Wood decided the couples-only tournament should be offered on Tuesday, February 14 at you and your valentine for $100+$25+$10 with $1000 will be added to the prize pool.
Another tournament will be offered on Wednesday, February15 at noon. Players begin with 10,000 in chips for the same buy-in as the aforementioned couple’s tournament. A no-limit Texas hold’em tournament with a $300+$40+$10 buy-in is on tap for February16 at 3 p.m. with forty-minute rounds.
There will be a DeepStacks Power Poker Course offered at the Salamanca poker room Sunday, February 2 at 11a.m. Instructors for this three hour intensive training session will be two-time WSOP bracelet winner Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi and two-time WPT Champion Randall “Randallin” Flowers.
All participants will return to Seneca Niagara to participate in the Deepstacks tournament on Thursday, April 5 at 6 p.m. The “big one” is a three day event with a $200,000 guaranteed prize pool stating Friday February 17 at noon. This is the televised no-limit hold’em event, with fifty minute rounds, 25,000 in tournament chips, and a buyin of $1,350+$150. Michael “The Grinder” Mizrachi and Mike “The Mouth” Matusow will be waiting for you to take them out. ESPN broadcaster Lon McEachern of will handle the opening ceremony.
There is even a second chance tournament on Saturday, February 18 with a buy-in of $200+$30+$10. The tournament room is huge, with room for plenty of players, very good food and a hospitable staff that works very hard for players. This will prove to be a good time, and don’t forget to check out the cash tables too.
