Grinder Operator
The H.C. Starck Fabricated Products business is a highly technical global manufacturing company making various parts for the Medical, Aerospace, Defense, Electronics, Energy, Semiconductor, and Electrical Power Markets as well as a variety of other applications. The materials used are Tungsten, Molybdenum, Tantalum, Niobium, and other exotic metals.
H.C. Starck’s Euclid, OH manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Grinder Operator for their third shift, 4-10 operation to set up and operate CNC surface grinders t o finish grind dimensions per customer specification. Operators will primarily finish grind molybdenum and tungsten to close tolerances and microfinishes.
Requirements:
· Requires a High School diploma, or equivalent
· 3-5 years of previous grinding experience
· 3 years of previous CNC experience
· Understand G&M codes
· Understand and edit CNC programs
· Basic math skills are required to perform necessary job functions
· The ability to read and interpret complex blue prints and layouts
· Understand general tolerances metric and/or Inches
· Utilize measuring equipment (optical comparator, micrometers, dial calipers, dial indicators and any necessary inspection equipment)
· Display competence in operating and maintaining all machines in defined department.
